Menagerie Cottage

Serving families in the Leavenworth area, Menagerie Cottage offers an alternative to traditional daycare through a child-led, nature-based approach to care. Rather than expecting every child to follow the same schedule, pace, or expectations, we pay close attention to each child’s interests, needs, communication style, and energy. Children are given meaningful choices, time to explore, and the freedom to learn through play, movement, creativity, and connection.

Our days include outdoor adventures, hands-on discovery, imaginative play, and plenty of space for children to regulate, recharge, and simply be themselves. Emotional regulation and individuality are central to our approach, helping children feel understood, supported, and confident in their own ways of experiencing the world.

Rooted in years of hands-on childcare experience, Menagerie Cottage is especially committed to welcoming and supporting neurodivergent children and their families. We recognize that children who may struggle in traditional group-care settings often thrive when they have a smaller, more flexible environment that honors their sensory needs, communication styles, routines, and unique strengths.
